" FGC of UES " constructs energy ring in Primorye

12.05.2012

Backbone Electrical Grid of East (BEG of East) completed the installation of two outdoor switchgears of 220 and 500 kV on the substation 500 kV Lozovaya which is to be built as a part of an energy ring in the Primorsky Krai. The commissioning of the substation is scheduled for the third quarter of 2012.

Together with the construction of 500 kV transmission line Chuguevka - Lozovaya - Vladivostok it will be the final step in creation of the 500 kV energy ring (Primorskaya TPP – Dalnevostochnaya - Vladivostok - Lozovaya - Chuguevka - Primorskaya TPP) in Primorsky Krai.

On the existing 500 kV substations - Vladivostok and Chuguevka the 500 kV outdoor switchgear upgrade is nearing its completion that involves construction of two new cells at each of the substations. This reconstruction will energize a new 500 kV line Chuguevka - Lozovaya – Vladivostok of 350 km length.

As a result of the project implementation, transmission capacity of the 500 kV network between Primorskaya TPP and southern areas will improve significantly together with reliability of electricity supply of existing regional customers and transportation facilities of the Eastern Siberia - Pacific ocean oil system. Conditions will be created to ensure electricity supply of new energy-intensive projects to be implemented in the south of Primorsky Krai.
